What's Dropping ⚡️

NAS Crashed A Marketplace 🎙

Nasir Jones, better known a Nas— a rapper, songwriter, and entrepreneur— has teamed up with Royal.io to bring music ownership access to the masses. Royal was scheduled to drop their first-ever, limited, digital collectibles to their platform yesterday, but the influx of users crashed the site!

Royal gives owners the chance to own a part of streaming royalties through ownership of digital assets. So if you almost missed the opportunity yesterday, you’ll get another chance next week. Same time. Same place. Royal has pushed back the drop to Thurs, Jan 20. This will officially make NFT holders co-owners of the hits “Ultra Black” and “Rare.” A collection for each will be at 1 pm and 9 pm ET.

CryptoSkulls Back From The Grave ⚰️

Oh no? OpenSea? It’s broken…. That was our first thought when we saw something called CryptoSkulls flying off the shelves at a rate that was fast enough to crash a Safari browser.

In the early hours of January 10th, 2022, a project called CryptoSkulls started amassing volume that hasn’t been seen in recent times, eventually closing out at a sales volume of 5,277 ETH for the day, comprised of over 10,206 sales! With 90-day volume only being around 5,459 ETH, at the time of writing, January 10 was the day that this project resurrected from the dead (almost 97% of the 90-day volume was on this day).

Introduced in August of 2019, the CryptoSkulls project was the second 10,000-piece PFP collection to be released in the NFT space. For a while now, it served its purpose as an ancient PFP for many NFT enthusiasts. But recently, they released plans to make each CryptoSkulls NFT a playable piece within Gold of Skulls, a game where the rarity of your Skull dictates how it performs within the game. They also created a coin called $GSK that can be earned in the Game of Skulls, and used as a payment form on marketplaces like OpenSea, with projects that partner with the CryptoSkulls.

Even though it was still the runner-up, it had not seen as much recognition as its predecessor, the CryptoPunks, which were the first 10,000-piece PFP NFTs. This run-up for the Skulls just goes to show that you the unpredictability in this space. But, remember: you too can 25x in one night. It’s all possible in the Metaverse. Web3.0 4 Life. WAGMI.
