The Guardians of the Metaverse

Everyone loves the story of a hero. Growing up and even still to this day, we are fascinated with superheroes in pop culture, movies, and television. Guardians of the Metaverse is tapping into that source in a unique way. What if you could own a hero that resonates with you not only in real life but in the metaverse?

The long-term vision of the Metaguardians project is to bring to the table what DC/Marvel provides for people in real life to people who are dwelling in the metaverse. This is definitely a breakdown that will be worth reading because at the end a new sneak peek announcement is revealed 👀.

What are the Guardians?

Guardians of the Metaverse are a collection of 10,000 (5,000 male, 5,000 female) unique 3D heroes living as NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain.

Owners of these ERC721 tokens have the option to download their Guardians in .png format, request a high-resolution image of them, and as you will read later much more.

Design: Each guardian has been generated from a program that involved 320 attributes with 12 categories of traits creating an aesthetic masterpiece. These traits are a collection of different types of clothing, masks, weapons, eyewear, and much more. Every guardian is truly unique in the metaverse and allows the holder the ability to choose what he/she feels resonates with them most. You will be searching the ends of the OpenSea to find a project that is as visually appealing as the Guardians are.

Roadmap

Metaguardians are on a clear mission to continue to evolve. Here are some of the things in the pipeline.

To start, every 45 days a new collection will come out in which Guardian holders will have a direct say in the creative process through polling in the discord server. The high-ranking Guardians will even have to say over traits of the new collection and of course, this drop will cost 0 ETH + gas fees to current holders

MetaVillains

Speaking of new collections, recently announced was the MetaVillains collection that will be coming out soon. We will let the Twitter post do the talking.

Moving down the road here are some other things to look forward too...

This universe doesn't stop with this one drop! 3D fully rigged Guardians will be delivered to all owners, simply meaning you will be given a virtual Guardian that has the ability to move, and owners can do with these as they please! The development team will continue to generate more content for every virtual world. Guardians will collaborate with other projects, access different virtual worlds, and seek to have a presence on every Metaverse. Down the line, characters will be part of a play-to-earn game that will bring all of this together in one interactive experience. This will become available on both mobile and PC, so there is plenty to look forward to for those holding onto their Guardians!

Development Team

Meta Guardians is a project built by people with legit superpowers. Alvara Gasco (3D Artist and Concept Design) is known for his visual effects work in films like Fast & Furious, Assassin’s Creed, and The Impossible. Gasco has won multiple awards, including Best Visual Effects two years in a row at The Goya Awards— Spain's main national annual film awards. David Campassol (3D Artist and Animation) is also known for his visual effects work in films like “Don’t Come Here” and “Sweetsters: Virtual Room.” A team this powerful behind a project can conquer anything.

Ownership

Something unique about this project is their emphasis on ownership of your guardian and the perks that come along with it. By owning a Guardian you have complete access to new collections, future rigged collections, new Metaverse avatars that come out, and last but not least access to the extremely anticipated play-to-earn Gurdianite Airdrop (in-game currency).

Notoriety

Behind most successful projects you will find celebrities, athletes, and everything between owning an NFT in the project. Here is a list of notable figures that own a Guardian.

Community

Discord: MetaGuardians has one of the strongest Discords in the game right now with over 36,400 members. Something unique about their team is they are very willing to do fun giveaways/raffles and even have a channel in the server dedicated to the cause. Other perks of the server are high tech bots such as a rarity sniper (used to give you the breakdown of your own MetaGuardian), a channel dedicated to reporting scammers, a trading marketplace, a guardian game room, and much more! Twitter: Metagaurdians is very active on their Twitter and always engaging with their 18.8k following community whether it be sharing photos of their guardians on posts or getting other friends on board.

Just yesterday Michael Carter-Williams joined the family and even tweeted about it!
