MekaVerse Floor Slipping

The most anticipated drop in probably the history of NFTs has dangerously slipped from the good graces of the NFT community. Just a couple of weeks ago MekaVerse dropped with hundreds of thousands of discord members and incredible hype that we have quite frankly never seen before. Now we are seeing listed sales well below their previously bought prices and a floor price of 1.18 ETH.

The Mekas dropped on 10/6 and had an instant floor price of 5 ETH. The floor price hype was palpable but quickly turned sour. NFT community members were frustrated that didn't get a chance to mint with some believing that the mint was fixed and friends and family only got in the action (we have no way of confirming if this is true).

 Along with this, many people felt like the design of the Mekas themselves were too similar and the traits didn't stand out. In turn, it seems like there is a combination of unrealistic expectations due to uncontrollable pre-mint hype, scarcity issues due to the design, and questions about the raffle mint process that is factoring into this drop-in floor price. At The Drop, we can only report what we see and hear from the heartbeat of the community and we try to shy away from personal opinions. Just know that some of the best projects (BAYC for example) have experienced over 50% drops in their floor price and have recovered from the ashes. Time will tell if MekaVerse can do the same but as of now, it is not looking good.

Zeneca Announces Discord NFT

Yesterday @Zeneca_33, who is a very well-respected NFT writer and collector in the community, dropped the details about his NFT Discord membership token.

As most of you know Zeneca has an ultra-popular discord that he recently made private due to the sheer number of people joining.
