What's Dropping ⚡

  • Cool Cats servers suffered an attack shortly after holders were able to sign-on yesterday.

  • Let the Stimulus Continue: X2Y2 announced their token airdrop yesterday. Token totals per user are based around aggregate OpenSea spending much along the lines of LooksRare. Staking details are TBD (but it’ll include WETH rewards as well).

NYSE Marketplace? 📈

From Tuesday, 2/15 and on, it is now a certainty that bigger fish will be coming into our pond to play. The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) has filed trademarks that relate to NFTs.

In their filed trademark application, the NYSE stated that they want to offer “an online marketplace for buyers, sellers, and traders for digital goods authenticated by NFTs.” They also stated that they want to provide a marketplace for individuals to sell cryptocurrencies (i.e. Defi). With plans like these being put into place, the NYSE is clearly serious with their intent to join the NFT space. And they should. They see how big this opportunity has become, and they are fully aware they cannot afford to watch from the sidelines anymore.

The NYSE is the largest equities-based exchange in the world, with an estimated market cap of approximately $26.5 trillion. Over time, they have gradually grown their value to the behemoth number it is today. And with value growing in the cryptocurrency space every day, the NYSE’s entry into the NFT world has the potential to become immensely impactful. News like this is the reason we know that WAGMI. It might just take a little time.
