  • Issue #3 of Huxley dropped and instantly sold out. The graphic novel series continues to captivate as the world building continues. Huxley Robots, the collection of 1000 Robot Avatars now has a 7.1 ETH floor with only 60 listed. Human Avatars and issue 4 are both next in their pipeline.

  • Invisible Friends revealed their art, and the floor fell as low as 5 ETH, with one odd transaction clocking in as a "sale" at 0 ETH.

  • BrokenClub NFT mint is officially live! Pixelmon or Pixelmoney-Grab 💀

There have been a plethora of reveals that have ended in catastrophe within the NFT space. HAPEBEAST. HypeBears. Mekaverse. From messed up traits to overlapping features, reveals did not seem to go exactly as planned, leaving investors with pieces of art that are subpar in quality— and in the case of Pixelmon, poorer than poor.

Pixelmon, a project that netted approximately $70 million from their mint, was supposed to resemble Pokemon with a Minecraft inspiration, but turned out to be a monstrosity. This reveal made HAPEBEAST's ear-slot hats look like a work of art. The NFTs that emerged upon Pixelmon's reveal were so poor in quality that they immediately became a laughingstock on crypto Twitter. Now buyers are coming in to get a good deal on a historic meme.

Kevin is now the community-proclaimed Pixelmon meme character. And while the floor price of the entire collection is looming at around 0.4 ETH, Kevin’s floor price is 10 ETH (at the time of writing). Buyers are assuming the floor must come up at some point in time, while others argue that the meme will die out soon. Time will tell. In the meantime, let’s cheer on Kevin. WAGMI.

Excellent Developers Under-Promise and Over-Deliver 👀

Picking a solid NFT is neither as exact as a science, nor is it as random as rolling dice. But one guiding light to increase the odds of selecting a promising project is to vet the people engineering a project. For example, when investing in a project that wants to make a game, find out if the team includes a former game developer and if that dev has some specific goal for the project. If you want to dedicate ETH to a land project, inspect whats exposure the team has to land based ecosystems. If you did the work of inspecting NFT Worlds’s white paper when they were chugging below a few ETH, you would have seen that their plan included leveraging Minecraft’s already developed terrains. That right there is huge because they aren’t proposing to figure out how to re-invent the wheel, but are rather applying a proven interface to a new use case.

Investors taking on a dev-centered analysis of NFT projects should be critical of the credibility of project developers, and ask how their experience applies to this new project. If developers share their involvement with multiple different major films, ask how that even matters to the success of the NFT project. Many of the most credible developers will be understated; they will under-promise but over-deliver.
