Every NFT investor has at least a handful of worthless NFTs. Thanks to Unsellable NFTs, thereā€™s a simple, quick way to sell up to 500 ā€œunsellableā€ NFTs at a time to get your tax write-off.

In December, every smart investor uses Tax Loss Harvesting (TLH) to optimize their taxes. But what happens when your assets are worthless and totally illiquid?? (*coughā€¦ >50% of all NFTsā€¦*)

Just yesterday an investor sold 19 now-worthless NFTs to Unsellable, and earned a tax deduction of $4,934. It took < 5 minutes, and saved serious $$$!

Itā€™s secure (verified + audited smart contract), transparent (doxxed team), and instantly buys any worthless ERC-721 & 1155 NFT to save you money.

Donā€™t miss the easiest way to save money before the end of the year - SELL TODAY!

Trump's NFT Collection šŸ˜…

Before we start, we understand that former President Donald Trump is likely the most polarizing figure in the United States. In no way, shape, or form is this article a for or against opinion/position on anything politics related.

Earlier this week, Donald Trump teased a ā€œBIG ANNOUNCEMENTā€, and his followers were very excited to see what he had planned. Many thought it would be something involving his election. Instead, we have come to find out that it was actually an NFT collection, one that features the ex-president essentially as a superhero.

The NFT is a rendition of Trump in the form of playing cards that range from him as a superhero to a cowboy from the Wild West. Each NFT is priced at $99 and the proceeds go right into his pocket through a licensing deal that uses his name and likeness. While there are many prizes ranging from entries into sweepstakes and 1-on-1 calls with the man himself, dinners, etc. his political colleagues have expressed their reservations regarding the decision. In their opinion, these types of ventures decrease donations to the party and give a false notion of supporting an election. The money is just being extracted, in their opinion. It isnā€™t being used for the purposes itā€™s being portrayed to be used for.

šŸ’”The Drop At The Drop donā€™t want to illuminate our opinions on this specific venture (most importantly we don't want to give our opinion on politics). Either be here in Web3 to prosper and build, or keep doing what youā€™re doing with the conventional Web2 approach. Thereā€™s a difference between the two. And we, as Web3ers, must define that. Overall the web3 space has mocked this project and does not seem remotely interested in buying - however, the project still sold out so for the people that dislike this project the silver lining is that new people seemed to be onboarded.

MetaMask Integrates Paypal šŸ¦Š

Swiper keeps swipingā€¦ the beloved in-browser crypto wallet has just gotten niftier. When a MetaMask user wants to purchase Ethereum, theyā€™ll now be able to do it more seamlessly with the integration of PayPal as a payment fulfillment option.

  • Itā€™s not just about payment, its about discoveryā€¦ ConsenSys, MetaMaskā€™s parent company is adding this feature onto the wallet in the middle of crypto winter. The company is finding ways to innovate the product so that it is more easily adaptable to newcomers. The product manager for MM hopes that this integration will fuel people to explore the Web3 ecosystem.

  • The popular kidā€¦ ConsenSys is trying to make one of the most popular crypto wallets even more popular. While this is on one hand exciting news, users should also be aware that moves like this may subject their wallets to further centralization.

  • PayPal wants inā€¦ PayPal is offering their integration in light of MetaMaskā€™s solid reputation. This may also signal a larger effort on the part of the company to reach their payment tentacles into the world of Web3.

šŸ’”The DropAs the overall Web3 ecosystem continues to take damage to its reputation, PayPalā€™s integration with MetaMask offers some relief. It indeed emphasizes the fact that payment institutions know how not to throw the baby out with the bath water. In fact, PayPalā€™s association indexes the fact that the business being done here is something that they want to be a part of. Nonetheless, it is yet to be seen how these types of institutional marriages on ConsenSysā€™s part affect the nature of the product as a whole.

Elixir Proposes Simple Royalty Enforcement (SRE)

Continuing the ecosystem's search for a solid and unanimously accepted royalty mechanism, Elixir, the hub for NFT financialization, has proposed one. A royalty mechanism they termed Simple Royalty Enforcement (SRE) and an amendment to Metaplex's MIP-1 that is community governed. There are three main goals this proposal intends to achieve:

  1. To get creators protected as quickly as possible.

  2. To minimize changes to NFTs

  3. Keep NFTs permissionless by default.

In explaining how this mechanism will address the current obstacles the ecosystem faces, the marketplace highlighted the issues with the current proposals. The first is in the aspect of Permissioned NFTs. To control bad actors, the marketplace continued, the current royalty enforcement proposal uses ā€œallowistā€ which is directly opposing as allowist translates to permissions-by-default NFTs.

Next was asset-specific control, ā€œPower to creators is good - but in practice, the process of blacklisting specific protocols will ultimately fall to launchpads or marketplaces,ā€ the marketplace said. Requiring decisions to be resolved in a public forum and permissionless by default (assume good until proven otherwise) are the two ways Elixir proposes to address these issues in order to have a 'single global denylist' that is governed by the community.
