Artist Access Limited In Web3 šØ
With Web3, the idea of access is something that should be at the frontlines; something that we ensure is protected. Anyone, and everyone, should have the ability to take part in the different factions of the industry, including NFTs. But some artists are claiming that their access has been cut off, particularly those that reside in the nation of Cuba, one that has been known to control their citizensā way of income.
When everything seemed to be going wrong, Cuban multimedia artist Alejandro Pablo Garcia Alarcon found a solution in what some might consider an unusual place: NFTs. apnews.com/article/entertā¦

Cuban artists, such as GarcĆa AlarcĆ³n, have reported getting delisted from major NFT platforms, including the big dog: OpenSea. We have seen delistings before, but only because of rug pulls or stolen art. While the platforms that delisted these artists havenāt answered why they made the decision to do so, it is certainly something that creators in this space should keep an eye on. AlarcĆ³n and other artists in Cuba depend on the art that they sell; their livelihood is their art. Taking away their ability to view it let alone sell it, is a big detriment to their process of being able to make money. Web3 should be for everyone, regardless of what country you are based in.
š”The DropWe look at Web3 as a safe haven for every type of creator and investor. But if ādecentralizedā platforms like OpenSea conduct business with a ācentralizedā mindset, all weāre doing is selling pictures on the Internet. We have to make this an open arena for anyone to contribute, including those creators from countries that donāt have the best relations with other nations. We have to be open. WAGMI.
Vitalik Lets Off Some Shots š„
When it comes to reputation, there are few people in the crypto space as well respected as Vitalik Buterin. With that said, he has some criticisms to get off his chest. Usually quite reserved, he didn't hesitate to talk about other chains when it came to centralization.
The problem with the crypto space š
As explained by @VitalikButerin

š” Here is the breakdown of what he said:
Its appeal is its problemā¦ on one hand, a grand appeal about the crypto space is that it isnāt governed, but according to Vitalik, this also makes it susceptible to people entering the space only to creating unsophisticated projects.
XRP got hitā¦ Vitalik remarked that Ripple and XRP are related entities, and that XRP is completely centralized. Rippleās CTO responded to Vitalikās remarks by insinuating that Vitalik doesnāt understand the difference between XRP and Ripple. Nonetheless, there is hard data that shows that XRP is centralized.
XRP was acting like FTXā¦ part of XRPās strategy was to cast themselves in a bright light at the expense of other currencies. Vitalik noted that XRP has tried to convince the US government that Ethereum is a Chinese-controlled entity.
š”The DropTruth to powerā¦everybody needs a hero, and for many, Vitalik serves that role. He embodies the values of Web3 by the way that he structures his contributions; the fact that Ethereum is indeed a very decentralized product. While it may make a generally affable and respected figure a bit more polarizing,, speaking truth to power is extremely important.
OK let's try this again, ordering a nothing burger from McDonalds. this time nothing else in the order.
