Chella NFT x FTX 🕺

Coming to you from the desert landscape of Indio, California, Coachella Music Festival is releasing its first NFT collection. Coachella has decided to partner with FTX on its venture to make a grand entrance into the NFT space. They want to use this opportunity to give back to the community; the loyal members that enabled the notoriety they hold today.

Built on the Solana blockchain, this release will have 3 different phases, each with different forms of utility. First, there will be 10 Infinite Keys that will serve as LIFETIME passes for future festivals. The Keys will come in the form of guest and VIP passes, which will also have their own special perks that have not been announced yet. The second phase is called Desert Reflections, a collection of 1,000 different Coachella posters that can be redeemed for a photo book of pictures taken at the festival from 1999 to 2019. There will be 10 posters, each with a supply of 100. The last phase is called Sights and Sounds, which is a 1,000 piece collection that features photographs from the festival attached with their own soundscapes. These photographs can be redeemed for a physical print of the photographs that members mint.

What started back in 1999 as a 17,000-attendee mock Woodstock has turned into the highest-grossing music festival in the world. Additionally, Coachella has aligned its growth with the community that they have fostered in the EDM world. Now, they want to give back to their concertgoers with mementos that remind them of the festival’s history, while also giving the fortunate few the ability to hold a lifetime pass to the festival. Best yet, they are empowering this new endeavor by utilizing the powers of Web3. The Infinity Key collection will begin bidding on February 4th at 1 PM EST on Coachella’s NFT designated marketplace. The 🐐 Retires Into NFTs?

At the ripe age of 44, Tom Brady has officially announced his retirement from the NFL, confirming rumors that circulated earlier this week. Surprisingly, this announcement was paired with some additional news for the NFT community! In part, Brady is stepping away from the NFL to focus on a start-up he co-founded called Autograph— a platform that aims to bring together the most iconic brands and legendary names in sports, entertainment, and culture to create unique digital collections and experiences.

By joining Autograph, users have the ability to get in on drops to acquire limited-edition digital collectibles. The Autograph NFTs are currently sold within the DraftKings NFT Marketplace, and minted on the Polygon blockchain. Owners can then unlock one-of-a-kind individually signed editions and gain access to exclusive content, experiences, and digital communities. Featured collections have come from a range of icons including Tiger Woods, Derek Jeter, Tony Hawk, Simone Biles, The Weekend, and others! We are looking forward to seeing this venture bring new members into the NFT space, and hope it serves as a conduit for sports and entertainment legends to authentically connect with their fanbases.
