National Web3 Doxxing Day 👤

In the NFT space, the majority of contributors disguise themselves with pseudonyms; contributors that we trust with our hard-earned money. Some people reveal who they are over time, as we’ve seen with GMoney, an icon in the NFT world, and Frank, founder of the DeGods project, just as of yesterday. Doxxing has many benefits, but here are just a few:

  • Building trust: You’re putting your name on the line, which in turn is your reputation.

  • Opportunities: In the coming years with increased Web3 adoption, major companies such as Yahoo Finance and other news organizations will employ/utilize people that don’t hide behind a fictitious name, but actually contribute with their own personal name. This ties back into trust and having skin in the game.

  • Community building: People follow projects, but people also follow people. They tend to grow closer and more fond of creators that they can picture in their mind. If you’re doxxed, you’ve removed the barrier of the “unknown”. Everything is laid out on the table.

💡 The DropDoxxing will be important in the future, especially for creators in the industry that want to continue growing their networks/communities, and that want to continue building in the space. It’s a proven fact that projects with doxxed founders perform better in the market. And that’s just one example. Congrats to GMoney and Frank! You’re one of us! WAGMI.

Porsche 911 NFT Collection 🏎

Porsche has a Discord server because it’s zooming into web3 with a 7,500-piece NFT collection based on the iconic Porsche 911. The collection will be released in January 2023, and will be designed by artist Patrick Vogel. According to Porsche, this NFT collection is only the beginning of their longer commitment to the world of web3.

  • Users set the vibe… NFT owners will make choices about how they want their Porsche art to look. They’ll have over 150,000 design combinations to experiment with, promising each individual to opportunity to truly distinguish their NFT. The different directions users can set for their NFT include Performance, Lifestyle, and Heritage.

  • The art is special… Patrick Vogel is a 3D artist and will be the mastermind behind each of the NFTs. Not only is his handiwork exceptional, but he will also be using the Unreal Engine 5 to render each of the assets in their 3D form.

  • Porsche on the blockchain… outside of NFTs, Porsche is looking to integrate some of their native systems onto the blockchain.

💡 The Drop There is a difference between a low-effort monetization scheme and an authentic effort at establishing a reputation within web3 that is symmetrical with your reputation outside of web3. Porsche appears to be doing exactly the latter. Their commitment to web3 is exhibited not only through the NFT project, but also through their explicit desire to utilize the blockchain for payment and other systems. If you can’t afford a real Porsche, maybe this is the path to flipping your way to one.

Phantom Adds More To Its Wallet đź’µ

Just when it's starting to all make sense to users that self-custodial wallets are more crucial than ever, Phantom - The friendly crypto wallet for tokens, NFTs, and Defi on Solana executes on the plan of going multichain. “Phantom was actually founded with the intent of going multichain towards Ethereum and we have been hard at work for months developing a wallet that makes Web3 more cohesive for both users and developers,” the wallet tweeted. Also with the close partnership with the Polygon team, Phantom is offering a first-class wallet experience for the constantly increasing number of NFTs, games and applications powered by Polygon.

However, uncertainties about how users will manage different wallets on different chains are still out there, but for the initial launch, they’ve decided to elevate the wallet experience in a few key ways as there will be no need to toggle between different wallets. Phantom also plans to go along with their top features as they're going multichain; advanced transaction previews that empower users with real-time warnings, and human-readable transaction context with a 24/7 world-class support team that attends to users' wants and many more.

đź’ˇ The DropThe goal is to bring the ecosystems together into a single delightful product experience that makes Web3 accessible for everyone. The public beta version is to be expected in the coming weeks as invites to access will be rolled out soon, you can join the waitlist here.
