y00ts Minting Begins 📈

After over 70,000 applicants and several mint day pushbacks, the y00t minters have finally been satisfied. At the time of writing, the floor of the "t00bs" by y00ts NFT is 146 SOL (around $4,842.82) on Magic Eden. The biggest question still lies: "Each t00b can be burned to redeem a y00t. Are you going to keep the t00b or get the y00t?".

These tickets (tOObs) will only be tradeable for 5 post-mint days. During yOOts reveal, you will burn your tOOb to mint a verifiable random yOOt on the yOOts website and applicants whose application status has moved from "Under Review" to "Waitlist" will have a chance to mint remaining spots from no-shows. The price of minting a tOOb for a DeadGods holder will increase to $500 DUST on Friday as this price will continue to increase by 0.8325 $DUST per day until $DUST emissions end.

How Did y00ts Rise To Prominence?

With the current NFT market turmoil, both in sentiment and financial stability, it’s fascinating how much of a footprint the DeGods led by Frank have made. With the newest collection of y00ts, we are seeing a euphoric rise in floor price for the DeGods themselves (560 SOL floor), despite SOL still being down 80%+ from its all-time high in this current bear market.

With the newest y00ts collection, Frank, the founder of DeGods, chose to utilize a completely new type of allowlist application process. While this can be time-consuming, considering the over 70,000 applicants, the method of having to apply and wait for an acceptance has proved to be very enticing to the market. People checked their application status every single day to see if they made the “y00tslist”. This is redefining how to build anticipation and a flawless marketing plan for a project. The hype is coming directly from the exclusivity of entry. And with big names being granted a spot, every normal NFT investor is begging to get their hands on one. But, is it allowing entry to the right people? Or is it just another way to pump the project with “influencers”? Below is a breakdown of how fair this process has been. Long story short, Frank was honest when he stated that his desire for y00topia is to have holders that are changing the NFT space for the better and are actively working, building, and a part of the community.

Yesterday was mint day and the t00bs were snatched up in an instant. Obviously, y00tlist winners and DeGod holders were allowed to mint t00bs and now secondary is on Magic Eden. Minters of the t00bs had to purchase with 375 $DUST (the coin that the y00topia ecosystem will be built around).

To add icing on the cake to the sellout, Dust Labs (the platform to build DeGods, y00ts, and $DUST) just announced a $7 million seed raise by some of the biggest web3 brands in the space.

The most amazing thing about the Dust lab raise?

Usually, most cryptocurrency raises the VC firms to seed the company and get the token at a discount, and then the coin is sold to retail. DeGods' team flipped the whole operation upside down and minters used $DUST to seed the company (by buying $DUST & a t00b) and THEN the VCs got involved.

Are you bullish on y00topia and the DeGods' team?

BARRELX Begins Genesis Bourbon Barrel NFT Launch

BarrelX, a first-of-its-kind NFT marketplace for aging spirits is launching its genesis whiskey barrel NFT. With this launch, BARRELX aims to democratize access to the closed-door spirits industry, enabling everyday consumers and collectors to participate in the ownership of aging spirits.

The Genesis Whiskey Barrel collection is comprised of 5,000 NFTs; each granting ownership of 10% of a barrel of whiskey, redeemable for 22 bottles when aged. Minting will commence on September 7th for BARRELX’s allowlist and will be open to the public on September 8th. The price of each NFT starts at $420 and varies depending on the desired age of the spirits.

BARRELX is excited to innovate off its extensive expertise in the spirits industry through the use of commodity based NFTs, welcoming a new and diverse audience of aged spirits drinkers. BARRELX has already engaged in licensing deals with an impressive roster of NFT community ambassadors to have their IP included on the BARRELX NFTs. Outlined in their robust roadmap, BARRELX plans to offer future NFT collections for barrels of rum and tequila.

BARRELX was founded by Matt Shirah, a gregarious Kentuckian with years of experience in the bourbon industry, and Nicole McGraw, a staple in the traditional art world who recently made a splash into NFTs with her record-breaking Boonji Project launch. Both share in the mission to open doors to opportunities that have been traditional, until now, reserved for industry insiders and heavily funded market makers.
