Tom Brady: "Man In The Arena" Collection 🏈

Whenever there is news relating to the GOAT, we are honor bound to write about it. And by GOAT, I’m of course referring to none other than, Tom Brady. For quite a while now, Tom Brady has been active in the NFT world, through the vessel of Autograph.io, his newest venture that focuses on showcasing an athlete’s achievements on the blockchain. On Wednesday, April 6th, ESPN announced that it would partner with Autograph on a multi-year deal to mint the network’s first NFT.

To kickoff the collaboration, the inaugural NFT has already been released. And who better to be capture than the man himself? The project is called Man in the Arena: Tom Brady Collection, and features a total of 400 editions, separated into 3 categories. The editions are magazine covers that depict Brady’s illustrious legacy in the game of football. 50 lucky token holders will win the privilege of Brady-signed NFT. Also, the project’s timeline aligns with the release of Brady’s new docuseries on ESPN+. As we reported yesterday, historical events will begin to incorporatecertain types of non-fungible counterparts as time progresses. Whether it’s Lamborghini’s last Aventador, or an athlete’s lifetime achievements, the blockchain is the perfect way to fossilize a memory, and the most impactful way is in the form of an NFT. It will be interesting to see the innovative methods that ESPN employs to integrate Web3 with their already strong real world presence. WAGMI.

 FRANKfrankFRANKfrank frankFRANK FRANKfra

Just yesterday, there were murmurs of a new meme NFT available for purchase on secondary markets. The project ultimately being discussed across numerous alpha channels went by the name of frank. Meme NFTs posses an integral relationship with the ecosystem as a whole, since memorable images are able to catalyze lasting impressions on folks, and becoming cherished objects by themselves. This is to say, there are NFT projects that have been catapulted into popularity because of their memeability alone, and communities have developed around that virality. Their simplicity is often a key component of generating subcultures around them. Take, for example, sartoshi’s NFT project -mfers. This project has neither a roadmap, nor any active intervention from the dev, other than the development and broadcasting of memes based on the mfer NFT. Frank has rocketed from a pre-reveal floor of 0.15, to a 1 ETH floor at the time that this piece was written. Welcome to the world frank.
