Pudgy Toys Hit Walmart Shelves 🐧

Probably the biggest news to hit the web3 space this entire month is Pudgy Penguins’ Toys have hit the shelves in over 2,000 Walmart stores!

The Penguins CEO Luca Netz announced via Twitter the big news with 🔑 details for holders:

  1. Not only will the Pudgies be in over 2000 stores but they will also be a part of the Walmart pallet program in which they will be getting their own featured display (see display in Luca’s video below) for the next 6 weeks

  2. Holders of Pudgy Penguins NFTs get a royalty in perpetuity every time a toy sells

  3. Each toy comes with a QR code that unlocks digital traits which can be redeemed in the Pudy digital social experience “Pudgy World”

  4. Season 2 of Pudgy Penguins is just around the corner 👀

See all the details of this incredible announcement below:

Pudgy Penguins is blazing a path for other big name NFT projects to follow. There should be little to no excuses for founders of massively minted-out projects to start building value for their holders that Pudgy Penguins’ founder Luca Netz has.

You Can’t Make This Up - BitBoy Saga 🌪️

The closest thing we have to reality TV in the web3 space is infamous crypto influencer Ben Armstrong (formally known as “BitBoy”) who appears to be spiraling out of control at a quicker rate than we can even report.

Ben is no stranger to drama and over the years many credible figures in the space have accused him of grifting, stealing funds, and promoting nefarious crypto scams. To add fuel to the fire, Ben’s eccentric (many would say erratic) behavior at times drifts into sheer mania and has been on full display amongst his live streams, videos, and other posts on his numerous social sites. We will save the leadup of all this craziness for the Netflix documentary but for now …

⚡️ Here is the recent drama timeline (to the best of our ability):

  • Weeks ago, Ben Armstrong was outed by his former employer “Hit Network” which made him relinquish his “BitBoy” nickname/influencer handle and BitBoy YouTube Channel

  • This public firing turned into a “he said, she said” saga in which Ben claimed that his former employer outed him illegally, stole his assets, etc. (and trust me when we say that the list of allegations against his former employer was too long to even mention but you can watch his side here)

  • During this entire firing saga, it came to light that Ben was having an affair with a fellow crypto influencer and the apology video went viral. You can see the apology here.

  • Still hell-bent on getting “justice” Ben started a donation link saying he was incapable of suing his former employer without the help of his community

  • To the sheer shock of many, community members donated over $60,000 USD in various cryptocurrencies

  • One of the many allegations Ben made was that his Lambo was taken from him by his former employer at Hit Network so he decided to livestream himself on YouTube going over to his former employer’s house to retrieve it

  • If things couldn’t get more out of control, during the live stream he encounters a police officer who arrests Ben and it comes to light during the conversation with the officer that “Cassie” (the person he was having an affair with his wife) was in the vehicle… just weeks after his sob fest apology video. You can see all the action below.

At this point, some of his fans (what’s left) are starting to feel bad for Ben as it is quite apparent he is completely spiraling out of control, allegedly might be on drugs, and more than likely dealing with various mental health issues. For others, this is the cherry on top and justice for the countless allegations over the years that have piled up.
