What's Dropping ⚡️

  • Doodles put out a tweet that has everyone buzzing for Friday. Doodles floor now sits at 23 ETH.

  • Elon Musk trolled everyone in the NFT space by making his Twitter PFPs a bunch of Bored Apes. Long story short, it's marketing and he doesn't truly care.

  • Azuki Spirit DAO acquired Azuki #3140 for 245 ETH ($697k USD).

  • Legendary artist and technical engineer Takashi Murakimi is well known for his various projects and for having a heavy hand in the invention of NFT technology. He recently received a Special Achievement Webby award for his contributions.

  • No No's NFT announces a fully realized comic book alongside some really nice-looking apparel. They'll be talking about it on an upcoming twitter space.

  • Blankos block party is an NFT platforming PVP game that looks and plays similar to the successful PC game Fall Guys. The devs of this free-to-play game have been dropping awesome free skins recently.

  • Metaverse gaming ecosystem Star Atlas is going to launch a storytelling podcast series alongside their NFTs. The series will feature a soundtrack and corresponding NFT drops.

🚨 Bitverse & Bloodvessels Launch 🚨

Kongregate, a pioneering blockchain game developer and creator of the massively popular web gaming platform Kongregate.com, is launching two new Web3 games: Bitverse and Bloodvessels! (two Twitter accounts worth checking out)

Bitverse is a collection of web3 games set in a nostalgic 8-bit universe. Each game in the Bitverse will have different game mechanics and gameplay styles but will live within the same gaming universe, or metaverse. The Bitverse will consist of three games to begin: Bit Heroes (a Kongregate fan-favorite cross-platform MMORPG), Bit Heroes Arena (a battle royale shooter currently in open beta), and a third game currently in development planning to launch later this year.

Bit Heroes characters can be customized, leveled up, and interacted with in a myriad of ways. The free-to-play game (with optional purchases) will be available on the web and eventually mobile! The games will also feature cross-game items, meaning that when you purchase “cross-game” items, they will be usable in all Bitverse titles! These items (i.e. characters and gear) will retain their progression as you play and their stats will vary between games to keep everything balanced and tailored to each game’s specific mechanics. Check out their whitepaper here!

Blood Vessels is the first game from Kongregate’s new blockchain-focused development team Electric Visions, whose mission is to create groundbreaking games for web3. The game is set during the turn of the 19th Century at the Chicago World’s Fair, a celebration of technology and culture. Players take on the role of vampires that have risen from the ashes of the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. Each NFT vampire has distinct attributes and players will work together to uncover the mysteries hidden within the cracks and crevices of Chicago’s streets. Hungry for blood and curious about their own origins, it’s up to them to decide if they will move against humanity, coexist, or stay hidden in the shadows. Check out their Discord here!

 BEANZ Day Today🚀

May 5th is going to go down in history as being one of the most peculiar reveals that we have ever experienced. And it’s because the NFT that is revealing tomorrow has already changed its metadata once. And on top of that, it’s one of the top 10 collections currently in the space.

As stated in a prior newsletter, the Azuki project airdropped, what they call, BEANZ, to every holder. They were airdropped during the Garden Party on March 30th (the day before April Fools) to unsuspecting holders of the project. Thousands at the event only found out once Azuki announced it to them mid-show. A day later, they were revealed to be a pile of dirt, which seemed like the best April Fools joke of all time. A short time after that, the pile of dirt’s metadata could be refreshed to reveal an animated bean with a baby pod coming out of it. This bean is symbolic in that Azuki, the main project, started this exact same way: a bean that sprouted into something magical.

Even though the information coming from Azuki is limited, we can expect a drop that catapults the Azuki ecosystem into the stratosphere: where it belongs. What we do know is that there are 2 types of BEANZ, red and blue. Both will cause havoc in the garden, according to Azuki. And according to the tweet above, the team has also been working behind the scenes to incorporate the BEANZ into IRL objects and use-cases. The extent of that we truly do not know. But, nonetheless, speculation has been mounting all week. What surprises does Azuki have in store for us? WAGMI.
