Founder Gamblers Project Funds Away 🧐

Yesterday, DNP3, a major influencer in the Web3 space, released a TwitLonger titled “I’m sorry”. In this thread, he speaks about how he gambled away all of his money, including his life savings, and that he’s been dealing with the addiction for some time now. Most of the time, the individuals that execute NFT fraud don’t come out to address the issues presented to them. Usually, the people/teams work under pseudonyms, thus making it nearly impossible for the market to receive answers. But once in a blue moon, we’re lucky enough to get answers before the house of cards begins to collapse.

The problem arises when analyzing the projects that he’s founded, which include CluCoin, a play-to-earn metaverse ecosystem, and Goobers, an NFT project built by CluCoin which features a game called Goobies. This brings up quite a few questions. Are these projects going to die now that DNP3 doesn’t have any more money? Did the project funds get gambled away? Is there enough money for his projects to survive without him having to prop up the finances? Time will tell what plan is in place for the future functionality of his creations.

💡 The DropDNP3 has been seen as someone who possesses a wide range of influence: he has the ability to target hundreds of thousands of people at any given time. Not only is he an influencer, but he is someone that people have respected for some time. That’s why when he was doing Stake-sponsored streams, no one was the wiser. It just seemed like he was making his bag, just like every other influencer. Here at The Droep we report the news. Could he be lying about a gambling addiction? Absolutely. Does that make the stolen funds okay if it is true? Probably not. You be the judge. WAGMI.

New Leadership For Turtles NFT 🐢

It was both an end-of-the-year and an end-of-an-era celebration for Turtles NFT as their former owner departed the project on new year's eve. Fiyopi, who has reportedly been building and managing the project for the past 15 months made the announcement himself on the Turtle discord channel. Fiyopi also made an official handover to the new leadership and wished them well.

💡 What's Happening:In the hope to answer questions from the community and to discuss the new Turtle roadmap in more detail, the new team announced a Twitter space. This was held on new year's day when a lot was being tackled and updates made to the roadmap. The new team will implement a total website refresh covering branding, the new roadmap and the new team once the web server is fully transitioned to them. On-chain staking and upgrading are the other technical issues being included in the new roadmap.

There are currently issues with the art upgrading as it stands and the incoming team will refund at a fixed price for anyone that wishes to burn their potion and get their TRTLS back. TRTLS is the Turtles native token used for art upgrades and earned through staking. The new team also revealed their plan to create multi-channel income streams for the project to scale for them to grow and pay staff, build products and invest in influencer marketing within and outside Solana.
