Polygon & Immutable Partnership 🎮

Breaking news in the web3 gaming space. Polygon Labs and Immutable have announced they will work together to create a new Ethereum scaling network called Immutable zkEVM. This network will combine the recently developed Polygon zkEVM technology with the Immutable platform, which is made for blockchain-based games.

💡 Let's breakdown with this all means:

  • Both Polygon and Immutable have partnered to accelerate the path from concept to success on Ethereum. You heard that right, all of this is being built on Ethereum.

  • There will be the single biggest upgrade to any token's utility in history for $IMX holders with xkEVM

  • The IMmutable zkEVM is slated to start rolling out towards the end of Q2 2023

  • Although both companies are competitors, this partnership hopes to ensure to onboard the next billion users to blockchain based games

In recent news...

Web3 gaming has made an incredible resurgence in the past few weeks (or did it ever leave?). Just yesterday we saw streamer Dr. Disrespect show off his web3 game DEADROP and command an audience of 34,000 live watchers. 

In summary, Robbie Ferguson the president and co-founder of Immutable stated "By combining the number one Web3 gaming platform – currently serving hundreds of game studios and millions of players – with Polygon’s best-in-class zkEVM technology, we are building an Ethereum-centric gaming ecosystem that is poised to take Web3 mainstream and bring digital ownership to millions of people around the world”.

It will be fun to watch in the coming years as web3 gaming blossoms!

DeGods' founders Frank and Hasbulla had a meeting and it looks like there might be some sort of collab in the works for their NFT projects.
